Good morning. Here's the latest from the lacrosse world:

1. Here comes the fall.

So long, summer of lacrosse. Fall ball is on the horizon. Though the games played in September and October don’t technically count, fall competition gives teams a chance to see where they stand. And some scrimmages are open to the public. Here’s where to get your lacrosse fix this season and how to have your team’s scrimmages added to the schedule.

2. Conference realignment, made simple.

Conference realignment had slowed down over the last several years, but the last few months have proven it’s not a thing of the past. Stony Brook is off to the CAA, James Madison’s women’s team will compete as an affiliate member of the American Athletic Conference and the NEC isn’t sponsoring men’s lacrosse anymore. And then there’s the addition of new lacrosse programs like Clemson. It’s a lot to track, but Jeremy Fallis was up to the task.

3. New rules are coming to boys’ youth and high school lacrosse.

The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and USA Lacrosse announced rule changes to the youth and high school boys’ game on Wednesday. Some of the  most significant involve stick specs, including limitation to the size of holes or gaps in the crosse and removing any protrusions or sharp edges.

• Thomes Hansen (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) and Natalie Oyler (Meridian, Idaho) are the recipients of the 2022 Michael Breschi Scholarships, USA Lacrosse announced Wednesday. The scholarships were created in honor of UNC men’s coach Michael Breschi’s son and go to a pair of high school seniors who are the son or daughter of a coach who is a full-time employee at an educational institution.

• Kylie Anderson, who spent the last two seasons on the UConn sidelines, is joining Harvard as an assistant.

• Former team captain and All-American Peter Murphy is returning to UNC, this time as a volunteer assistant.

• Talan Livingston will suit up for the USA men’s U18 select team — a dream come true for the Severna Park High School senior, writes Zach Sparks of the Severna Park Voice.

• Bo Columbus starred at the X for Team Canada at the U21 world championships. He has his sights set on the NLL. But first things first: His senior season at Robert Morris. Mark Pare of Elora Fergus Today caught up with the budding star.
