Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. On the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, the lacrosse community honored those we lost.

Also, we shared the story of the Never Forget Lacrosse Tournament, founded by 9/11 first responder John Fee in 2016 after the FDNY vs. NYPD game played at US Lacrosse headquarters. What started as two teams facing off to commemorate 9/11 turned into a 12-team event this weekend.

2. The Peterborough Lakers are the 2019 Mann Cup champions. The Lakers took down the Victoria Shamrocks 7-5 in Game 5 of the Mann Cup series, winning their third straight championship.

The Lakers led 6-5 for most of the third period, until Thomas Hoggarth scored with 4:23 left to put the game out of reach for the Shamrocks. Peterborough is the first team since the Six Nations Chiefs in 1994-96 to 3-peat.

3. Jesse and Jake Bernhardt have been following their father’s lessons throughout their lacrosse career. Jim Bernhardt passed away this summer, but his legacy lives on through his sons.

The Bernhardt brothers share their perspective on losing their father, and how they’ll continue to remember him.

4. MVP, Offensive, Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and more.

Phil Shore breaks down his projected winners for each of the MLL’s year-end awards. Check out who he thinks will take home each of the six awards.

5. It's that time of the year again.

Denver teased a 2020 schedule announcement today. Many more teams will follow.
