1. Former High Point men’s lacrosse player Richard Byrd is now Dr. Richard Byrd after graduating from dental school at the University of Michigan. Next up? Howard University to specialize in orthodontics.
2. Matt Hamilton checks in with the “Eli Eight,” a group of eight Yale lacrosse players including star faceoff specialist TD Ierlan, and finds out how they are spending the fall semester while not enrolled in school.
3. Lauren Davenport, manager of athlete development for US Lacrosse, with a thought-provoking article on team culture, specifically as it relates to diversity. “Teams can thrive that much more when the culture of the team can adjust and evolve based on the people there and not solely based on the system in place,” she writes.
4. Corrine Drost, a former Delaware player and current Penn State assistant coach, opens up about the special and unique relationship with her mother, who began battling Alzheimer’s disease her freshman year of high school.
5. Former Syracuse and professional lacrosse star Jovan Miller, the creator of LAXtivism 101, will be featured on the US Lacrosse Athlete Mindset webinar series this evening at 6 p.m. ET.
