Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Fall Classic starts tomorrow and the lacrosse world is getting ready.

World champions. National champions. Record-setting players. Young stars. 10 games in three days, and it all happens at US Lacrosse and on Lax Sports Network. Fans attended a USA rally event Wednesday night at Bar Louie in Hunt Valley, Md.

Get primed for the blockbuster weekend by checking out the Fall Classic Preview.

2. Canada is preparing to take on the U.S. this weekend.

Wednesday, the Canadian Lacrosse Association released the rosters for the men’s and women’s national teams ahead of Fall Classic.

The men’s roster includes two players — Jeff Teat and Graeme Hossack — from the 2018 world championship team, as well as 12 collegiate players.

The women’s roster features a handful of professional and college lacrosse stars, including Selena Lasota and Danita Stroup, midfielders Erica Evans and Dana Dobbie and defender Lydia Sutton.

3. The American Boy Fall Brawl will take place this weekend, founded in honor of former lacrosse player Matt Megale, who died of a drug overdose in 2017 at the age of 26.

Megale’s father, Larry, played with Notre Dame coach Kevin Corrigan in college at Virginia — and Corrigan helped organize the event. This weekend, Notre Dame, Colgate and Princeton will play each other twice, run clinics and hear from guest speakers about the opioid crisis.

Among those speaking at the event will be former Cabrini player Timmy Brooks, whose story of resilience was shared earlier this spring.

4. Kathy Taylor has completed her ascension from high school lacrosse to Division I.

She did it all within a 40-mile radius. Taylor started at Fayetteville-Manlius, moved to Division III Cortland, then off to Division II Le Moyne, before taking the Colgate job earlier this year.

Taylor talks her Upstate New York connections and settling in at Hamilton.
