1. Amy Bokker left a sure thing at Stanford due to the vast potential she saw at Ohio State. Our Fall Ball Focus series takes a look at Bokker’s transition to Columbus.

2. Major League Lacrosse announced on Wednesday that the league has assumed ownership of the Dallas franchise, but expects the team to play in 2020.

3. World Lacrosse announced new rules for women’s lacrosse effective Jan. 1, 2020 that include the allowing of free movement, simpler stick requirements and allowing defensive players to run through the goal circle. Count Canadian star and Loyola assistant coach Dana Dobbie among the fans of the changes.

4. More than 20 event operators have teamed up with US Lacrosse to provide a better and more consistent playing experience at youth tournaments.

5. It’s nine months from the 2020 World Lacrosse Men’s U19 World Championship and Kenya became the 20^th country to commit to participating.

• Owen Hiltz, the No. 3 ranked player in the Class of 2020 by Inside Lacrosse, will head to Syracuse after originally committing to Denver.

• Ohio State has named its men’s lacrosse captains for the 2020 season.

• Maryland recruit Alex Wicks has already topped 1,000 rushing yards for the St. Mary’s (Md.) football team this fall.

• Women’s lacrosse could be coming to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
