Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Big brother knows best? Mike Rabil’s extensive experience in the business world has led him to the Premier Lacrosse League.
Paul Rabil represents one of the biggest headline makers in lacrosse, but he turned to older brother Mike to lead as CEO their newest venture. Mike Rabil has built a number of businesses — from fitness centers to investment holding companies — since graduating from Dartmouth, where he played football.
“We’ve always been backboards for each other, and either closely related partners on something or tangentially related,” Mike Rabil said about working with his brother on various initiatives.
2. What a way of life for Jason Nichols, a high school coach in Oklahoma.
Nichols, despite battling Lou Gehrig’s disease, is poised to lead Broken Arrow High into its first varsity season. The breakthrough comes thanks in part to a 2017 US Lacrosse First Stick Program grant and despite the many challenges Nichols faces in daily life with ALS.
