Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Noelle Lambert, the former UMass Lowell women’s lacrosse player who memorably returned to the field after losing her leg in a moped accident, achieved another milestone in her post-lacrosse life Wednesday.

Competing for the U.S. Paralympics track and field team, Lambert set a new American record in the 100 meters with a time of 16.31 at the Paralympic Games World Championships in Dubai.

2. Paul Bissonnette, the retired NHL tough guy with a massive social media following, dropped the proverbial gloves Wednesday when he tweeted that he could make an NLL team as a walk-on despite having never played lacrosse.

Among the litany of replies were a contract offer from Toronto Rock owner Jamie Dawick, an invitation to fisticuffs with NLL tough guy Bill O’Brien, and additional chirps from Buffalo Bandits forward Josh Byrne, Philadelphia Wings forward Kevin Crowley and NLL deputy commissioner Jessica Berman.

The thread also led to this revelation by former NHL goalie and current St. Louis Blues media personality Darren Pang.

3. Wednesday was National Signing Day, as scores of high school seniors signed National Letters of Intent to play their chosen sports at their chosen colleges. Notre Dame women’s lacrosse signee Alison Harbaugh, daughter of Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, got a special shout-out during dad’s media session.

He's no Bill Belichick, but Harbaugh seldom passes on an opportunity to use his NFL platform to extol the virtues of lacrosse.

4. The lacrosse community has lost a legend.

Hall of Fame coach Jim “Ace” Adams, the National Lacrosse Hall of Famer whose decorated college coaching career spanned 35 seasons, died Sunday. He was 91.

Adams amassed 284 career victories with stops at Penn, Army and Virginia. He coached at UVA from 1978 until the time of his retirement following the 1992 season. The school announced the news of Adams’ death Wednesday.
