1. Wednesday was National Letter of Intent (NLI) Signing Day for the Class of 2021.
Programs throughout the country shared the seniors who will join their teams starting next fall. Here were some of Wednesday’s highlights:
Katie Dougherty, daughter of former Penn State All-American Betsy Dougherty, will join her mother’s alma mater starting in 2021.

Colin Burlace, out of St. Mary’s, signed on to join the Maryland men’s lacrosse program — where his brother, B.J., recently transferred to from Yale.

Another family story. Josh Rosa signed his letter of intent to play at St. Bonaventure, where his brother, Jake, is a redshirt-freshman.

2. Jackson Bonitz is aiming to compete with the U.S. U20 national team and continue his education at the Naval Academy.
What looked like a busy plebe summer with a U19 world championship sandwiched in between was altered by the COVID-19 pandemic, but Bonitz wasn’t all that disappointed. The postponement and renaming of the U20 world championship gave Bonitz the plebe experience, albeit one amid a pandemic.

3. Nation United is creating “The Incident Report” to help combat racism in lacrosse.
The organization designed the portal to help coordinate resolutions for events of hatred, racism and discrimination at all levels of lacrosse. Read more about the initiative and its goals.
4. Duquesne under Corinne Desrosiers is looking to continue the momentum into an A-10 title in 2021.
After two stagnant years in 2017-18, Desrosiers took over the program and injected new life. In her first season, Duquesne finished 9-8 and set multiple school records along the way.
COVID-19 derailed a promising 2020 season, but Desrosiers has her team aiming high for this upcoming spring.
