2. Breaking down this weekend’s NCAA Division I lacrosse championships from A to Z:

• For the men, that goes from Justin Anderson to Ajax Zappitello.

• For the women, it goes from ACC to zeal.

3. The National Lacrosse League’s 15^th franchise is coming to Las Vegas and will be owned by San Diego Seals owner Joe Tsai.

4. On this week’s “Overtime with Paul Carcaterra,” National Lacrosse Hall of Fame member Casey Powell shares how he pushed his brothers to become all-time greats.

5. The lacrosse world is rallying behind Hakeem Lucky, a former Syracuse All-American midfielder who suffered a traumatic brain injury in a scooter accident on May 22.

6. In the latest IWLCA post, High Point associate head coach Kelly McQuilkin on the impact coaches can have, and how its about much more than just being a coach.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• Gina Oliver Thomas (vice president), Katie Rodes Abbott (D-I rep), Liz Beville (D-II rep), Abi Jackson (D-III rep) and Brandon Davis (NAIA rep) have been named to the IWLCA Board of Directors.

• The USA Lacrosse Boys’ High School Players of the Week include Mount Sinai’s Joey Spallina, who had a Suffolk County (N.Y.) record 13 assists in a single game.

• The USA Lacrosse Girls’ High School Players of the Week include Stone Ridge’s (Md.) Grace Muldoon, who had 21 points in three games, including a pair of wins over previously No. 1 nationally-ranked Georgetown Visitation.

• Kevin Sheehan has watched his dad, Dan, will NCAA titles for LeMoyne. Now he gets to go try and win one himself.

• Robert Morris announced on Wednesday that it is eliminating its NCAA Division men’s and women’s ice hockey programs. The school will now have 15 varsity sports, including men’s and women’s lacrosse.
