Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. ​Maryland bounced back from the unfamiliar feeling of three straight losses by rolling past Navy 16-7 in women’s lacrosse on Wednesday night in College Park. Virginia was in danger of losing three straight, trailing George Mason 8-6 in the second half, but outscored the Patriots 8-0 over the final 27 minutes to post a 14-8 victory.

In Division II, No. 17 Grand Valley State upset No. 1 Lindenwood 16-13 on Wednesday night behind seven goals from Abbi O'Neal.

2. There were just two NCAA Division I men’s games on Wednesday: Mercer beat St. Bonaventure 17-8 and Robert Morris spoiled the first night home game in Detroit Mercy’s history, beating the Titans 16-13. In Division II, No. 4 Tampa improved to 5-0 with a 13-6 win over Adelphi in a top 10 game. In Division III, No. 3 Williams edged No. 10 Union 11-10 in overtime and Scott MacMillan made 23 saves as No. 12 Gettysburg topped No. 8 York, 7-6 in overtime.

3. Vanderbilt got over the hump with an upset victory against Denver on Sunday. The Commodores now face a stretch that will test its growth. That and more in Ella Brockway's weekly women's column.

4. USC senior Kerrigan Miller, a U.S. U19 team alum and current national team player, shows her softer side with her brother, Sully, who has Down syndrome.

5. Wesleyan head coach Kim Williams shares her story of fighting breast cancer in the IWLCA Behind the Whistle blog.

6. The Nike/US Lacrosse West Region High School rankings feature Torrey Pines (Calif.) on top in boys’ lacrosse and Colorado Academy leading the way in girls’ lacrosse.

7. There’s a lot more to Delaware’s Charlie Kitchen than his 36-game goal-scoring streak.

8. Major League Lacrosse announced results from its supplemental draft.

9. Young Harris College, an NCAA Division II men’s lacrosse program in Georgia, has cancelled its season. The school’s president said in a statement that the players were unwilling to adapt to the culture of new head coach Jay Goldsmith.
