1. James Madison made history in a victory over George Mason.

The Dukes cruised past George Mason 19-2 thanks to five points from Isabella Peterson to win its 500th game as a Division I program. James Madison is the fifth women’s program to reach that mark.

Also notable in women’s action, Florida returned to the field after a COVID-19 halt and dominated Kennesaw State 20-7. Loyola picked up its first win of the season, getting nine points from Livy Rosenzweig to beat Villanova 18-6.

2. Virginia men’s lacrosse picked up a solid rebound win on Wednesday.

The Cavaliers, fresh off a blowout loss to Syracuse at the Dome last weekend, held off a late surge from High Point to win 12-11 at Klöckner Stadium. Matt Moore led the way with three goals and two assists, and Alex Rode had 17 saves.

3. PLL on Peacock, it’s happening in 2021.

The Premier Lacrosse League announced Wednesday that every game of the 2021 season will be streamed on NBC’s new service “Peacock,” including 23 games that will stream exclusively on Peacock Premium.

4. Rutgers women’s lacrosse is bringing the grit during a three-game win streak that includes three comebacks.

The Scarlet Knights took down then-No. 19 Ohio State on Friday after trailing at the half and followed with another such win Sunday — their first wins over a ranked team since 2017.

5. Charlotte North joined Paul Carcaterra on this week’s episode of “Overtime.”

In the episode, North details her background in Dallas, her inspirations, how she went viral last year and why she decided to transfer to Boston College.
