Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Maryland women’s lacrosse just keeps rolling. The Terps improved to 12-0 with a 15-7 win over No. 16 Princeton on Wednesday night. Kali Hartshorn scored four goals and added an assist and 11 draw controls to fuel Maryland’s effort.

Also in women’s action:

• Jamie Ortega scored five goals and had two assists to lead No. 3 North Carolina to the 19-5 victory over Virginia Tech.

• Five different players scored multiple goals, as No. 10 Loyola rolled to the 17-9 win over American.

• Syracuse used a four-goal performance from Nicole Levy to beat Albany 19-7.

2. In men’s action, Harvard survived a late rally from Albany to win 13-12 at home. Sean Eccles and Tehoka Nanticoke each reached the 100-point mark, but it wasn’t enough to stop a trio of hat tricks from the Crimson.

Also, Hobart took down Saint Bonaventure 18-8 behind a four-goal effort from Eric Holden.

3. Culver (Ind.) and Haverford (Pa.) met at Tierney Field in a battle of two of the top high school boys programs in the country. Down a goal at halftime, Culver got hot in the second half en route to an 11-8 victory.

4. Towson men’s lacrosse got off to a hot start to 2019, but has fallen off a bit since. Still, coach Shawn Nadelen believes his team can compete with the best in Division I.

Over the course of his almost eight seasons at Towson, Nadelen has shaped the culture of this successful program. But after strong showings in the NCAA tournament in 2016 and 2017, the Tigers had a disappointing season in 2018 marred by multiple suspensions.

Towson and Nadelen have united and learned from last season, as it heads toward CAA play.

5. Michigan is in the midst of the best season in school history at 12-0. It’s a carryover from a 7-10 season under Hannah Nielsen in 2018.

But the Wolverines want more and believe they can achieve it.

“This year, we know all seven of us on the field and everybody on the bench when they go in has the confidence to know, ‘I can take that drive,’ ‘I can take that shot,’ [and] ‘I can make that play,’” said Molly Garrett.

6. It all started with a letter.

Michael Alaniz was diagnosed with a spinal disorder in December and his father, Marcos, suggested he write a letter to Paul Rabil for support. Rabil answered with “Get well soon, Michael.”

Months later, Michael’s parents surprised him with tickets to LaxCon, where he’d meet his idol. The family made the trip from Lexington to Philadelphia for the convention.
