Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. There must be something in the air at High Point. Weeks after the men’s team took down Duke and Virginia, it was the women’s team’s turn to pick up an upset.

Ashley Britton scored four goals and the Panthers knocked off No. 8 Johns Hopkins at Homewood Field by a score of 13-10.

The other highlight of the day came in the Sunshine State, where No. 4 Syracuse got a game-winning goal from Meaghan Tyrrell with eight seconds left to down No. 19 Florida 14-13.

The Gators scored two goals in the final five minutes to tie the game at 13-13 with 44 seconds left.

Syracuse won the ensuing draw, which led to Tyrrell’s game-winner on a free-position shot after a shooting space call.

Also in action:

• No. 2 Maryland picked up the 14-9 win over No. 5 Penn to extend its home win streak to 81 games.

• No. 6 Virginia overcame a four-goal, second-half run to down No. 9 Loyola 12-9. Sammy Mueller had four goals, including two big ones late in the second half to seal the game.

2. Brennan O’Neill is the next big thing in lacrosse.

The St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) has already wowed fans with his highlight-reel goals. Not to mention, he was the earliest boys’ lacrosse commit, doing so in eighth grade, before flipping his commitment to Duke last year.

3. Steph Finley was inspired by JMU’s title run last year as she fought cancer. The former Dukes player battled chordoma last year at 24 years old, forcing her to put her life on hold.

Now, she’s motivated to launch a new campaign alongside the HEADstrong Foundation called Game Hair Havoc. The campaign encourages women’s players to style their hair on game days to raise awareness for HEADstrong.

4. Welcome to Warp City.

Recently, US Lacrosse, along with Team USA stars Kylie Ohlmiller and Rob Pannell, got the chance to tour Warrior’s production facility in Sterling Heights, Mich.

5. US Lacrosse is celebrating 21 years of being the sport’s governing body. USL CEO Steve Stenersen thanks members for their support and reflects on the impact of our organization around the country.

6. In boys' high school lacrosse, the Hill Academy (Ontario) downed No. 1 Calvert Hall 10-9 in overtime. Dyson Williams (Duke) got this game-winner.

• The Chesapeake Bayhawks announced that they re-signed former Virginia great Steele Stanwick to a one-year deal.

• Maryland's Kyle Long is finding his footing with the Terps after not recording a point in the first three games of 2019.

• SportsLogos.net dives into the MLL’s new logo design, which it unveiled after building excitement last week.

• Maryland’s lockdown defense has been the key to its undefeated season in 2019, which includes wins over North Carolina, Virginia and now Penn.

• US Lacrosse hosted a Sankofa Clinic at Columbia University last week, featuring over 200 kids in New York City.
