Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Fourteen women’s lacrosse games were played yesterday — and in typical midweek fashion, there was an upset.
Temple held a four-goal lead at halftime and held strong in the second half, upending No. 13 Towson 12-8 in Philadelphia. Meghan Hoffman scored five times, Bridget Whitaker scored twice and six others players chipped in one goal each.

That’s now two consecutive losses by Towson, which opened the season 4-0 before running into No. 7 Stony Brook this past Sunday.

2. The second half of the Big Ten’s schedules are here.
The Big Ten released its schedule in two pieces this spring, and while some had a vague idea of what the second half might look like, now we know for sure.

4. “I know it’s hurtful to not be playing and practicing with our full team.”
Harvard men’s lacrosse coach Gerry Byrne, who has manned the sidelines for just four games since he was hired in the summer of 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, spoke to Paul Carcaterra about his feelings regarding another lost season.
5. The latest round of NAIA rankings dropped yesterday.
Reinhardt is ranked No. 1 on the men’s side, and SCAD Savannah is still atop the women’s ranks.

6. The Oregon women’s lacrosse team is on pause.
Due to COVID-19 protocols, the Ducks’ weekend road trip to Colorado to play the Buffaloes and Denver has been postponed. They are tentatively scheduled to return to play March 20 against Cal.
