Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. A pair of coaches with ties to the U.S. national team program made big moves on Wednesday.

Joe Amplo, an assistant coach for the 2018 U.S. men’s world championship team who will serve in the same capacity in 2022 is leaving the Marquette program he started to take over at Navy.

Amy Bokker, an assistant coach on the 2013 and 2017 U.S. women’s world championship teams, is departing Stanford after 11 seasons to take over the Ohio State program.

2. College Crosse is also reporting that Yale assistant coach Andrew Baxter will be named as Fairfield’s next men's head lacrosse coach.

3. The “Way Early” men’s Division I rankings looked at spots 11-15 yesterday, including three teams that missed out on the NCAA tournament — Cornell, Ohio State and Massachusetts — and two times with big-time graduation losses — Loyola and Towson.

4. Our look at community-based youth lacrosse programs around the country continues with a profile of CONNY, which serves youth in Connecticut and New York.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• Denver assistant coach Matt Brown will be the head coach for Canada’s 2020 U19 men’s lacrosse team.

• Ryan Birney played the hero as Detroit Central Catholic earned a return trip to the Michigan state finals in boys’ lacrosse.

• Briarcliff, a program started in 2002,  earned its first ever trip to the New York state boys’ lacrosse finals. The school will meet LaFayette in the Class D finals on Saturday.

• The All-Arizona boys’ lacrosse team has been named.
