Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. One. Year. Out.

The global COVID-19 pandemic what was supposed to be this summer’s U19 Men’s World Championship in Limerick, Ireland, but World Lacrosse has pushed the tournament to next summer. It will begin June 17, 2021, in Limerick and be relabeled as U20 to reflect the extra year.

Head coach Nick Myers went in-depth on the tumultuous past few months in a Q&A with US Lacrosse Magazine. He spoke about how his players handled the array of news, what it means to represent Team USA and more. Check out that interview here.

2. Major League Lacrosse announced a partnership with Powell Lacrosse to be the official equipment and apparel partner of the league.

Ryan, Casey and Michael Powell all played in the MLL in the early 2000s. Ryan and Casey were named league MVPs, and Michael was MVP of the 2005 MLL All-Star Game. More on the partnership here

3. On the heels of the Premier Lacrosse League’s announcement of group play matchups, Nelson Rice highlighted five intriguing games to watch once the Championship Series begins in late-July. Check it out here.

4. In the final installment of the US Lacrosse Leadership Panel Series, industry experts sat down with US Lacrosse Magazine editor in chief Matt DaSilva to discuss the altered recruiting landscape.

Panelists were Jesse Churchward (NCSA), John Danowski (Team USA, Duke), Jenny Levy (Team USA, North Carolina) and Theresa Sherry (The Tenacity Project).
