1.  Paul Rabil made an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Myers” on Tuesday night and said that he envisions the Premier Lacrosse League eventually being city-based. Rabil, of course, reminded us of the unwritten rule – never touch somebody’s game stick.

2. Father’s Day is coming up, but for some in the Premier Lacrosse League, every day is Father’s Day. Phil Shore looks at how the players manage the dual roles.

3. Endicott’s Maureen Spellman reflects on Pride Month in this week’s IWLCA Behind the Whistle blog.

4. An eight-goal effort from Loyola Academy’s (Ill.) Ellie Lazzaretto helped the Ramblers rally for an overtime win against New Trier in the sectional title match. She’s one of our regional USA Lacrosse Girls’ High School Players of the Week.

5. Four players from around the country were featured as our regional USA Lacrosse Boys’s High School Players of the Week.

6. Flex6 Lacrosse, a new offering from USA Lacrosse, helps simplify the game for new players and reduces barriers to entry. Nelson Rice looks at how the game was used in Goochland County in Virginia.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• WSYR-TV in Syracuse covered a USA Lacrosse Sankofa Clinic earlier this week. We’re proud to be working on another set of clinics with the Harlem Jets this weekend as part of a Juneteenth lacrosse celebration.

• A documentary, “16”, on late Penn State goalie Connor Darcey is set to debut this weekend.

• Regy Thorpe, one of the game’s most well-liked coaches, has taken a job as an assistant coach with the Florida women’s lacrosse program. The former Syracuse assistant had been working at Pitt. He’s also been a head coach in the NLL and for the U.S. men’s box team.

• The National Lacrosse League released its protected lists head of the June 29 Expansion Draft for Panther City Lacrosse Club. Players from the 2019 U.S. box team that were protected included Trevor Baptiste (Philadelphia), Matt Rambo (Philadelphia), Joe Resetarits (Albany), Blaze Riorden (Philadelphia) and Tom Schreiber (Toronto).

• Loyola star Livy Rosenzweig is ready for a fifth season at the school. Press Box Online profiles the Greyhounds’ all-time leading scorer.

• Penn State grad transfer Quinn Nicolai has joined the women’s lacrosse team at Temple.

• A local story on Massachusetts players that competed at the USA Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament.
