Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The future of college athletics in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic remains murky. The Ivy League announced Wednesday it will not hold any athletics competition in the fall semester, potentially setting off a ripple effect for other schools. Will fall sports move to the spring? What’s the impact on spring sports? There are more questions than answers.

Meanwhile, Stanford, annually the most successful NCAA Division I athletic program, announced that it is cutting 11 of its 36 varsity sports following the 2020-21 academic year. The Cardinal women’s lacrosse program was not included among the school’s cuts, but it's certainly a troubling sign for the sport if one of the nation's wealthiest schools is making cuts at that level.

2. North Carolina officially welcomed a pair of star transfers to its loaded women’s lacrosse roster yesterday, announcing that USC’s Kerrigan Miller and Dartmouth’s Katie Bourque will join the program for 2021.

3. The US Lacrosse First Stick Program has helped fuel growth for teams in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley Youth Lacrosse League.

• The IWLCA announced it has partnered with Elite Tournaments to manage and develop the IWLCA Tournament Series from 2021-2024.

• Tyler Papa, an All-American midfielder from Limestone, will spend his fifth season at the University of Michigan.

• Cumberland Valley (Pa.) standout Max Krevsky, once headed to Delaware, announced he is now headed to Yale.

• Hannah Schermerhorn was selected as the US Lacrosse Jackie Pitts Award winner for the state of Rhode Island.
