Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Despite his ever-present flowing hair, Denver Outlaws’ midfielder Mikie Schlosser has flown under the radar as his game develops. That’s starting to change as he plays in the MLL All-Star game this year.
Scholosser and the Outlaws are one of two matinee games in the MLL on Thursday with Boston visiting New York and Alanta heading to Denver.
2. After injuries forced Brent Adams away from the field game for two years, he’s thriving with Redwoods LC this summer in the PLL.
3. A Long Island transplant, Brianna Carraquillo joined the powerhouse program at Milton (Ga.) High School. Next stop is Yale for the Brine/US Lacrosse South Region Player of the Year.
4. Notre Dame commit Maximus Schalit from Ponte Vedra (Fla.) High School is the Warrior/US Lacrosse South Region Player of the Year.
5. Some of the game’s all-time greats made their mark on the national scene playing for the U.S. U19 team. Our all-time U.S. women’s U19 team.
