4. US Lacrosse CEO Steve Stenersen makes the case for community lacrosse. The national governing body is committed to increasing its investment in community programs and expanding efforts to foster collaboration between club owners and operators and community program leaders.
5. The Casey Powell World Lacrosse Foundation was named the official charity of the 2018 Vail Lacrosse Shootout, which takes place in Vail, Colo., June 24-July 4.
“The foundation does so much to aid severely injured and sick lacrosse players and their families,” Powell said. “The donations we raise from the alliance with Vail Shootout will help enable the foundation to aid another 20 families or more in 2018 and beyond.”
