The theme — Lead Her Forward — was also used as a hashtag on social media. Below are just a few examples of how US Lacrosse spread the word. You can read about the initiative here.

2. As part of National Girls & Women in Sports Day, Jenny Levy — coach of both the North Carolina women and U.S. women’s national team — penned an open letter to the sport of lacrosse. It details every way the sport helped her grow both personally and professionally. It’s a must-read.

3. In other news, Eastern Nazarene College announced plans to add both men’s and women’s lacrosse, according to the college’s official website. In the 2020-21 academic year, the teams will compete as club programs with NCAA Division III sponsorship beginning the following year.
