Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. There were 17 Division I women’s lacrosse games Wednesday night, and although there were no surprise results, there were a few notable scores. No. 14 Loyola topped Towson, 14-10, and Jill Rizzo surpasses 600 career saves in Ohio State’s 15-10 win over Cincinnati.

See the result of each of the 17 games here.

2. With a new league structure and two new teams in the fold, Major League Lacrosse announced its 2020 schedule. The regular season will last 12 weeks, with each team getting two byes. No plans for the playoffs or an All-Star break have been revealed. See the full schedule here.

3. Several fans and pundits scratched their heads when Charlie Cipriano was taken by Waterdogs LC coach Andy Copelan with the fourth pick in the Premier Lacrosse League Expansion Draft last week.

Staff writer Nelson Rice tells the story of Cipriano, a perennial underdog who’s ready to prove himself. Check out the must-read feature here.

4. Once a staple program in men’s Division III, Ursinus experienced a bit of a fall before beginning to rebound in 2019. In February, Ursinus scrimmaged Penn (a Division I powerhouse) to improve. Read the story of how Ursinus hopes to continue its ascent here.

5. Earlier this month, Northwestern named Casey Powell its volunteer assistant coach. The lacrosse legend has been wowed by the team’s high-octane offense, one that figures to rank toward the top of the national rankings come season’s end. Read Powell’s Q&A with US Lacrosse Magazine contributor Ella Brockway here.
