Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Three Division I women’s games were postponed Wednesday night, but four games were played successfully.

Hofstra earned a hard-fought 10-9 win over host Saint Joseph’s. After Grace Langella scored the go-ahead goal with 8:31 to play, the Pride defense held the Hawks without a shot on goal the rest of the way.

Earlier in the day, Maddie Jenner scored four goals on five shots and secured 16 draws as Duke toppled William & Mary 24-8.

2. Mount St. Mary’s beat Delaware 10-7 in the lone Division I men’s game.

Delaware, which was missing Charlie Kitchen and other key contributors, allowed two goals each to Mount St. Mary’s scoring threats Noah Daniels, Luke Frankeny and Brendan Doyle. Dylan Furnback made 10 saves for the Mountaineers.

3. The No. 7 Stony Brook women continue to show schedule flexibility.

In search of additional games, Seawolves coach Joe Spallina scheduled No. 14 USC for his team’s home opener on Tuesday. USC had already been scheduled for a trip to the East Coast to play New Hampshire and No. 17 Boston College, but the game against New Hampshire was canceled.

4. Syracuse is at risk of shutting down all campus activities for at least two weeks.

In an email to the Syracuse community from Chancellor Kent Syverud obtained by Brent Axe of Syracuse.com, it was revealed that the university is fast approaching the threshold of 100 COVID-19 cases in a two-week period — a threshold that would mandate a two-week pause of student activities, per New York State policies.

Should this occur, all athletics would pause for at least two weeks.

5. Michael Sowers has bad eyesight. No, really.

The star Duke attackman revealed to Paul Carcaterra on the “Overtime” podcast that he’s lost both pairs of glasses he owns and won’t wear contacts, so Sowers — who is ironically lauded for his vision — actually struggles to see at times.
