Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The IWLCA announced yesterday that Dallas, Texas will host the 2021 IWLCA Presidents Cup and IWLCA Debut on November 19-22. This will be the first IWLCA event hosted in the state of Texas and the first time the Presidents Cup will be held outside the state of Florida.

2. In light of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, US Lacrosse offers recommendations in support of risk mitigation during organized indoor lacrosse activities, including formal Box Lacrosse tournaments.

3. JT Giles-Harris, Terry Lindsay and Joe Robertson will serve as captains for the Duke men’s lacrosse team in 2021. Giles-Harris and Lindsay were both senior captains last spring during the COVID-19 shortened season and have returned for a fifth year. Robertson, a senior attackman who’s registered 119 points in two seasons of play, missed all of last season after suffering a knee injury during the preseason.

Duke earned the top spot in our Early 2021 Rankings, released back in September.

4. The #laxdad love continues. Jon Weiner, more commonly known as Stugotz in his role as co-host on ESPN’s The Dan Le Batard Show, announced yesterday that the LeBatard Show & Friends podcast was launching a new series highlighting lax dads. The first guest is Matt Hasselback.

Weiner, who was featured in our Life After Lax series in April of 2018, cited the All-NFL Lax Dad team list compiled by our Matt Hamilton and Eli Manning’s now viral tweet as inspiration for the podcast.
