The annual USA Lacrosse Convention takes place at the Baltimore Convention Center from Jan. 20-22. Among the college coaches presenting:

• Harvard’s Gerry Byrne on six tools for developing defensemen

• Howard’s Karen Healy-Silcott on small setps for big success

• American’s Lindsay Teeters on the fundamentals of a well-balanced offense

2. A remembrance of one of our own.

Georgia lacrosse official and Atlanta Journal-Constitution reporter Jeremy Redmon with a moving tribute on the life of former USA Lacrosse staff member Gordon Corsetti.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• Wisconsin-Stevens Point is adding a varsity women’s lacrosse program. The Pointers will be the 10^th NCAA Division III program in the state and will begin play in 2024.

• A Q&A with Professional Box Lacrosse Association Commissioner Steve Donner. The league debuts tonight with a game on LacrosseTV.

• Next Level Sports and Entertainment has signed a partnership with Jamaica Lacrosse, providing content of the team exclusively to NLSE.

• The Philadelphia Wings trio of Trevor Baptiste, Matt Rambo and Blaze Riorden are among the 11 NLL players that will play for the U.S. at next summer’s World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in San Diego.
