Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Major League Lacrosse announced nine finalists for the inaugural Dave Huntley Man of the Year Award, including Team USA co-captain John Galloway. The award honors the beloved former MLL coach who died last December.

2. Tryouts for the 2019 U.S. Women's U19 team begin tomorrow at US Lacrosse headquarters. A quick conversation with assistant coach Brooke Matthews.

3. The Charlotte Secondary lacrosse program, a new member of the US Lacrosse Urban Lacrosse Alliance, is featured in an ESPN documentary that will air on Aug. 23. NBA star Chris Paul is the executive producer.

4. The expansion San Diego Seals and league champion Saskatchewan will begin their seasons on Dec. 8 as the NLL announced the home openers for the two franchises ahead of the overall league schedule announcment.

5. The NLL announced its all-pro and all-rookie teams. League MVP Mark Matthews headed the first team, which included Robert Church, Kevin Crowley, Joey Cupido, Graeme Hossack and Matt Vinc.
