1. The U.S. U19 team advanced to the semifinals with a 26-0 victory over Wales on Wednesday night. Elizabeth Hillman made her return to the field after a knee injury before the first game of the world championship.
Minutes after subbing in, she scored her first goal.
The U.S. is back in action at 5 p.m. against Australia on Lax Sports Network and the Olympic Channel.
2. Canada and England were both victorious in their respective quarterfinals. The host team took care of Germany 21-1, while England held off New Zealand 10-8 to set up another rematch in the semifinals.

3. Cleveland State announced that it promoted assistant Andy German to head coach. German becomes the second coach in program history, taking over for Dylan Sheridan, who left to take a position under Nick Myers at Ohio State.
4. The NFHS unveiled a set of 10 rules changes coming to boys’ high school lacrosse in 2020. Among the changes — a play may be restarted when a defensive player is within five yards of the player in possession of the ball.
