Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Amherst’s search is over.

After the Division III power recently parted ways with Rashad Devoe, Amherst hired Sean Woods to be its next head men’s lacrosse coach. Woods comes from Colorado College, where he captured four conference championships, seven NCAA tournament appearances and a 109-42 record.

2. The NTDP Girls’ Combine rolls on.

Day 2 of the combine on Wednesday featured sweltering heat and 6-v-6 scrimmage action, not to mention the best of the best showcasing their skills for a stable of high-level coaches.

Among the 150 U16 and U18 athletes was Madison Rassas, the daughter of two-time U.S. team defenseman Todd Rassas. The young midfielder hopes to represent her country one day, just like her father.

3. The end of August features two key dates for the NLL.

On Friday, August 27, the league will honor 10 legends at its Hall of Fame dinner. The following day will be when the league welcomes in its next legends in the 2021 NLL Entry Draft.

5. UNC women’s lacrosse officially welcomed three talented transfers.

Andie Aldave and Olivia Dirks, both of whom were mentioned in a report by USA Lacrosse Magazine, are joined by former Richmond attacker Sam Geiersbach in Chapel Hill.

UNC hopes to make the final four for the 10th time in the last 13 seasons in 2022.
