Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Don’t even bother trying to make predictions in the Big Ten anymore.
In the latest example how every team other than Northwestern is susceptible to an upset, unranked Johns Hopkins took down No. 19 Penn State 13-10 Wednesday evening at Homewood Field.
After Kristin O’Neill tied the score at 4 with 6:49 left in the first half, Hopkins scored the next five goals to take a 9-4 lead. Mackenzie Heldberg made the score 13-7 later in the game, and although Maria Auth scored the contest’s final three goals, Penn State could not complete a late comeback attempt.
2. There were four other Division I women’s games last night.
The Drexel women continued their offensive surge, topping No. 20 Navy 17-8. Drexel, ranked 15th, improved to 9-1 behind five goals from Lucy Schneidereith, four goals from Karson Harris and five points from Colleen Grady. Zoe Bennett made 11 saves.

3. Women’s bracketology is back.
Although the pandemic has changed just about everything, there are still some constants in the first round of women’s lacrosse bracketology — coming every week until Selection Sunday.
Read Jeremy Fallis’ breakdown here.
4. Eight more boys’ and girls’ lacrosse players have earned national recognition.
With the Northeast Region still waiting to get going this spring, our high school lacrosse contributors named their boys’ and girls’ players of the week in the Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West.
Check out the boys’ honorees here and the girls’ here.
