1. Put Paulina DiFatta’s name in the record book.

The Pitt transfer made 19 saves Wednesday afternoon — an ACC tournament record — as No. 8 Pitt defeated No. 9 Louisville 13-10 for the program’s first-ever postseason victory.

Also Wednesday night, Colorado earned a massive resume-boosting win, a 12-10 decision over No. 10 Denver. Charlie Rudy had five goals and two assists for the Buffaloes.

2. The 2022 Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship will air on ESPN for the first time.

The Worldwide Leader announced Thursday that the championship game will run on the flagship for the very first time, capping a run of all 28 tournament contests appearing on ESPN platforms.

ESPN also announced a partnership with Athletes Unlimited, bringing more than 160 softball and lacrosse games to ESPN platforms over the next two years.

3. Another day, another batch of conference realignment news.

A report from ESPN’s Pete Thamel yesterday claimed that Mount St. Mary’s is set to leave the NEC and join the MAAC in July in all sports.

In women’s lacrosse, USA Lacrosse Magazine’s Paul Ohanian was told by Lindenwood coach Jack Cribbin that the Lions will join the ASUN Conference next season.
