Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Notre Dame defeated Marquette 13-6 on Wednesday, giving head coach Kevin Corrigan his 300th victory as the head coach with the Irish. Corrigan became just the third NCAA Division I men’s coach to win 300 games at one school, joining former Delaware coach Bob Shillinglaw (310) and former Massachusetts coach Dick Garber (300).

Notre Dame’s John Zullo made 12 saves in the win and the Irish held Marquette to just two second half goals after trailing 4-3 at the half.

In the only other Division I men’s game of the day, Robert Morris goalie Alex Heger made 18 saves as the Colonials upset No. 17 Lehigh, 13-12.

2. No. 14 Princeton built off of its weekend comeback win over Dartmouth with a 14-10 victory over No. 9 Loyola on Wednesday night. The Tigers jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead with Elizabeth George scoring three of those goals, including this nifty score.

No. 15 Navy bounced back from its Saturday loss to Loyola with a 16-9 win over Georgetown behind a big night from Kelly Larkin. Larkin had four goals and six assists to lead the Mids and went over the 300 point mark for her career. Gary Lambrecht had a great feature on Larkin on our site last week.

Hailey Wagner had a school record 23 draw controls and added three goals as Marist edged Niagara 17-16 on Kelly George's overtime goal. Wagner came into the game ranked second in the country with an average of 10.9 draw controls per game.

3. A really powerful story by Megan Miller on Stanford’s Areta Buness, who has battled through a once debilitating disease to go from a walk-on from Arizona to a key player for the Cardinals.

4. Our feature package from the April issue on the faces and voices of the Native American lacrosse community continued with features on Justin Giles and Ryan & Alie Jimerson.

5. Jeremy Fallis weighed in with his first NCAA Division I women’s bracketology of the season, and has Boston College, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Northwestern, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Virginia as the current first-round hosts.

6. Danny Cadigan (Smithtown West HS, N.Y.), Justin Glod (Brother Rice HS, Mich.), Dylan Hess (Ponte Vedra HS, Fla) and Alex Pistorious (Torrey Pines HS, Calif.) and Jack Sawyer (Calvert Hall, Md.) are the Warrior/US Lacrosse boys’ high school players of the month.

7. Brianna Carrasquillo (Milton, Ga.), Katie Collins (Cherry Creek HS, Colo.), Erin Coykendall (Spencerport HS, N.Y.), Olivia Dirks (Episcopal Academy, Pa.) and Claudia Shevitz (New Trier HS, Ill.) are the Brine/US Lacrosse girls’ high school players of the month.
