Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Tributes from the sports community honoring the victims from the 9/11 terrorist attacks of 20 years ago dominated social media this weekend. USA Lacrosse recognized the 75 known individuals connected to the lacrosse community.

Capping off a week of coverage of some of these individuals, we shared some more of their stories over the weekend.

• Princeton’s John Schroeder

• Former Penn and current Maryland player Abby Bosco, whose father, Richard, died that day

• Lehigh’s Rob McLaughlin

The Virginia men’s lacrosse team was among the teams running steps to remember the victims and to honor first responders and military members.

Today our team ran 2,226 steps at Lambeth Field in memory of the innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001. We offer our gratitude to our nation’s service members who bravely defend us each and every day.

2. We were thrilled to add Dana Boyle to our content team this spring as she hosted our YouTube show, “No Boundaries.” On Saturday, the former Virginia player and women’s lacrosse television analyst had her first reporting assignment for college football, calling the Rutgers-Syracuse game.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• 2021 Tewaaraton winner Jared Bernhardt of Maryland is bringing attention to the sport through his success on the football field. He’s now the starting quarterback at Division II power Ferris State.

• Wissahickon (Pa.) star Kyle Lehman will follow his father to Penn State. The highly-coveted recruit recently announced his decision.

• He’s not the only player headed to State College – Rye (N.Y.) High School’s Kian McCarthy announced his commitment to the Nittany Lions on Friday night.

• An emotional evening for the Old Dominion women’s lacrosse team as they hosted a dinner for the local Norfolk (Va.) First State No. 7.

• Kevin Crowley and others on the rise of box lacrosse in the United States.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

One-time Notre Dame lacrosse commit Jack Coan led the Irish football team to a second straight late-game rally. Even more impressive, Coan shook off an injured finger on the game-winning drive just before his winning touchdown pass against Toledo.

The most impressive part of that TD throw by Jack Coan was that he had a dislocated finger casually popped right back into place just before the play.
