Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. So Fall Classic was awesome.
Ten games in three days, all at US Lacrosse. Lacrosse fans flocked to Sparks, Md. to see the U.S. men’s and women’s national teams, as well as the U15 and U17 USA Select teams.
On Friday, the U.S. women cruised by Canada in its first meeting since 2017. Kylie Ohlmiller had four goals to lead the way. In the second game, the U.S. men scored twice in the final minute to complete a shocking comeback win over Canada. Joe Nardella sunk the game-winner with seconds left.

The U.S. women made it a 2-0 weekend on Saturday, downing Maryland 20-7 behind five assists from Sam Apuzzo. The U.S. men did the same, fighting off a tough effort from Virginia to win 11-6.

Sunday, it was the USA Select teams’ time to shine. The Girls U15 and U17 USA Select teams opened play Sunday morning, each dominating Team Ontario at US Lacrosse.

Then, the Boys U15 and U17 USA Select teams survived tests from Team Ontario to help sweep the day at 4-0.
3. Nine lacrosse legends were inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame on Saturday night in Hunt Valley, Md.
For the women’s class, Kara Ariza Cooke, Rachael Becker DeCecco, and Sarah Forbes were inducted as ‘truly great players,” while Cathy Reese was inducted as a “truly great coach.”
For the men’s class, Charlie Coker, Paul Schimoler, Ryan Boyle and Matt Striebel were officially welcomed as “truly great players” while Richard Speckmann was inducted as a “truly great coach” during the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
3. The 2022 Men's World Championship is on the move.
World Lacrosse announced Friday that the organizing committee was withdrawing its bid to host the 2022 games in Coquitlam, B.C. Additionally, the committee was made aware of a another group that could host the event in a "major media market."
4. The Olympic vision is on the minds of some of lacrosse’s most influential figures.
US Lacrosse hosted another Olympic trial process as part of Fall Classic. Both the men’s and women’s teams took on Canada under the trial rules.
