1. USA Lacrosse launched the second-annual National Celebrate Lacrosse Week with Pick Up & Play clinics for children ages 6-14 at 25 sites across the country this weekend.

2. It’s National Lacrosse League training camp season and all eyes are on the Las Vegas Desert Dogs.

Vegas went north of the border to open camp. The expansion team trained Oakville, Ontario, over the weekend and will be back in Canada for a pair of exhibition games against San Diego and Halifax this week.

3. The North Carolina women’s lacrosse team commemorated its undefeated NCAA championship season with a ring ceremony Saturday.

4. Nine Princeton men’s lacrosse players have entered the NCAA transfer portal for 2024, Inside Lacrosse’s Ty Xanders reported Friday.

Among them are All-Americans Sam English, Jake Stevens and Beau Pederson, as well as U.S. U21 team standout Alex Slusher. They will be graduate transfers after finishing their Princeton careers this spring. English and Slusher will have two years of eligibility remaining.

5. Paul Gait was involved in an accident on that required surgery, Gait Lacrosse said in a statement Friday. The National Lacrosse Hall of Famer and Gait Lacrosse founder “will need some time, but will be back in the game soon,” the company stated.
