Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The NXT Harvest Classic from West Chester, Pa., this weekend was the latest qualifier for the 10th annual US Lacrosse Nationals powered by NXT, which will be held from Aug. 2-5 in Frederica, Del. We took a deeper look at the nationals in the November print edition of US Lacrosse Magazine.

2. Very tough blow to Canisius, which announced on Saturday that three-time All-American Erica Evans tore her ACL in an Oct. 22 scrimmage at Loyola. Evans became the first player in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference history to top 100 points in a season after registering 76 goals and 32 assists in 2017. She also helped Canada win silver at the Federation of International Lacrosse World Cup. The press release did not declare her out for the 2019 season.

3. Ellie DeGarmo was a rock that Princeton coach Chris Sailer could rely on the last few years. Now comes the hard part — replacing the All-American who led the Tigers to the NCAA quarterfinals last year. A look at the candidates to replace DeGarmo.

4. Very impressed with former ESPN lacrosse play-by-play announcer, and longtime US Lacrosse Magazine contributor, Eamon McAnaney on completing the New York City Marathon while supporting Harlem Lacrosse.

5. The lacrosse world has fully embraced LaxStache Madness to support the Headstrong Foundation, but hard to imagine a better stache than the one UMBC coach Ryan Moran is sporting.

Of course, our own editor, Matt DaSilva, once won this competition.
