1. Kat Thomas went through the recruiting wars again – this time as three sharks on Shark Tank put in offers for the company she co-founded. On the episode that aired on Sunday night, Thomas and her business partner ended up taking $300,000 for a 10 percent equity stake from Mark Cuban for Mush Foods, an all-natural oatmeal product served cold.

Thomas graduated from Duke in 2012 after a career that saw her score 111 goals from the midfield, even with missing more than half her senior year with an injury. She was a second team IWLCA All-American as a junior in 2011.

2. The speaker lineup is filling up for LaxCon and now is the time for coaches and officials to secure a spot at the sport’s largest educational opportunity. Early bird registration ends on Nov. 30 for the event, held Jan. 19-21, 2018 in Baltimore.

3. Virginia’s Zed Williams rode an emotional roller coaster during his senior year with the Cavaliers, dealing with the passing of his father. US Lacrosse Magazine editor Matt DaSilva writes about Williams’ returning to the field as his favorite lacrosse moment of 2017.
