Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. There might be no stopping North Carolina women’s lacrosse.

The Tar Heels entered a highly anticipated matchup against Boston College on Saturday morning as the top team in the country, but they were tested early. Jamie Ortega (six goals) and Kerrigan Miller (three goals) helped North Carolina shake off an early deficit to pull away for a dominant 21-9 win in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Check out the full recap here.

North Carolina’s win was one of a handful for the traditional powers in the ACC on Saturday. Virginia survived a test from Louisville, and Syracuse got four goals from freshman Emma Ward to blow out Duke.

2. Logan Wisnauskas showed why he’s one of the best players in the nation in another edition of The Rivalry.

Wisnauskas scored twice and added seven assists, a career-high, to fuel a powerful second half en route to Maryland’s 18-10 win over Johns Hopkins on Saturday.

Check out Patrick Stevens’ recap of The Rivalry.

Also in Big Ten play, Penn State got back on track with a gutsy 15-13 win over Ohio State at Panzer Stadium. In another ranked battle, Lehigh’s Mike Sisselberger dominated the faceoff and fueled a 10-6 win over Patriot League foe Loyola — the Mountain Hawks’ first-ever win over the Greyhounds.

Bonus content: UMBC winning in four overtimes against Stony Brook.

3. Down goes No. 1.

Salisbury entered its first game against No. 13 Lynchburg as the unquestioned top team in Division III men’s lacrosse, but that didn’t faze the Hornets. Kyle Lewis, Riley Mitchell and Brett Rogers each had a pair of goals to lead Lynchburg to the 10-8 upset win on Saturday afternoon.

Read the recap here.

4. Plenty of upsets on Sunday, but Stony Brook held on.

Elon took down James Madison for the first time ever, Sydney Watson led UConn to an upset of No. 16 UMass and Michigan swept No. 18 Rutgers — all on Sunday. However, No. 7 Stony Brook avoided that same fate, playing lockdown defense en route to a 10-8 win over No. 14 Towson.

Catch all the action in the Sunday wrap.

Both Michigan and Stony Brook also picked up victories on Friday to start the weekend. More in the Friday wrap.

5. Duke keeps rolling, led by Michael Sowers.

The Blue Devils dominated Richmond 13-6 on Sunday afternoon thanks to five points from Sowers and 15 saves from Mike Adler. Villanova and Bucknell also picked up wins on a light Sunday slate.

Check out the Sunday wrap.
