Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. A season of uncertainty will gain some measure of clarity when the NCAA Division I Council meets today and will consider the option of allowing spring sport athletes who had their seasons cut short an additional year of eligibility.

2. The lacrosse community has rallied in force to do its part in helping to fight COVID-19. Here’s a sampling of some of that work.

“There’s a passion to protect. It’s our tagline, but for a good purpose. It goes to an inner meaning.”

Within 48 hours of launching the new Cascade Face Shield, @CascadeLacrosse received orders for more than 300,000 units, prioritizing hospitals.

3. National Lacrosse Hall of Fame player Jim Darcangelo, who helped fuel the sport’s growth with his Lax World stores, died early on Saturday.

4. The April issue of US Lacrosse Magazine began hitting our members mailboxes late last week. A look inside the issue, which went to press in early March before the disruption to the current lacrosse season.

5. We took a look at several more of the lost seasons in college lacrosse:

• For Navy’s Ryan Kern and others in the service academies, there will be no extra season regardless of the NCAA vote. Kern said he and his teammates were hoping for a little more time.

• Notre Dame star Andie Aldave pictured how she’d feel when she flew home to Baltimore this spring. She just thought it would be for the NCAA championship.

• Top-ranked Syracuse had people talking about the Orange like they did 10 years ago, said junior midfielder Brendan Curry.

• Williams was our No. 1 team in the Division III men’s ranks coming into the season. A look at some of the impact in Division III.

• An empty athletic facility was an eerie feeling for Belmont-Abbey coach Chris Barrett.

• A group of high school girls’ lacrosse captains across Massachusetts has asked the state to consider holding a state championship as long as it is safe to do so.
