1. Grant Ament bids farewell to college lacrosse.
Ament, the Penn State star that had his senior season cut short in 2020, could have been granted an extra year of eligibility under the unprecedented NCAA announcement but decided to move on from college lacrosse.
He made the announcement on his Instagram, and Penn State offered its thanks for a great career.

2. Amherst fired coach Jon Thompson and banned the team from postseason play in 2021 in response to allegations that players used a racial slur on a teammate. Read more here.
Amherst President Biddy Martin, athletic director Don Faulstick and dean of faculty Catherine Epstein cited the reasoning as a “list of deeply troubling cases,” according to Inside Lacrosse. The decision comes less than a year after Amherst advanced to the Division III title game.
3. Could Jared Bernhardt return to lacrosse for 2021?
Bernhardt, who earlier this year said he’d pursue a fifth year of eligibility in football, could in theory return to Maryland lacrosse next season and push football to the next season. More from Patrick Stevens on a complex decision.
4. A Missouri State men’s lacrosse player has tested positive for the Coronavirus, according to The Standard.
Coach Donnie Curran confirmed the news over the weekend, in what could be the first case involving a college lacrosse player.
5. Another member of the Mount Olive women’s lacrosse team has died.
Chaney Partrich, a freshman, is the third member of the Trojans team to succumb to injuries suffered in a tragic vehicle crash on March 13. A fourth student-athlete, Jett Swetland of the baseball team, also died.
