Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. JT Giles-Harris intends to be at Duke “all of next year,” according to a source.

Giles-Harris, the star Blue Devils defenseman, intended to pursue a fifth year playing Division I football next season. He’ll be back on campus, but the source does “not anticipate him playing football at Duke as of now.” More on the next addition to a loaded 2021 Duke roster.

2. Faceoff men sounded off on the proposed changes to the college faceoff, which included removing the motorcycle grip.

Stars like TD Ierlan, Connor Farrell and more argued that the rule, created to eliminate tie-ups in the middle of the field, may actually add more of them. Greg Gurenlian, though, argued the opposite. Check out more reaction from the faceoff community.

3. The PLL Waiver Wire is now open.

The league’s waiver wire opened at 8 a.m. and will include any players not named to the 25-man Championship Series rosters.

4. Former U.S. U19 star Austin Sims still looks back at the summer of 2016 as a formative experience.

Now a member of the PLL’s Atlas LC, Sims is speaking out on racism in America. He was featured as part of our Vault series.

5.. NJIT is headed to the America East.

NJIT was an affiliate member of the Northeast Conference this season, going 1-6 in 2020 and not playing a conference game. It was also reported that Robert Morris is leaving the NEC for the Horizon League, although it is unknown what impact that will have on the lacrosse program. Click here for the full press release.

• Joshua Hughes (Fla.) and Kristen Choi (Calif). were named US Lacrosse Impact Athletes for their contributions to the community.

• US Lacrosse has established an LGBTQ+ Inclusion Scholarship, which provides financial support to a student-athlete who demonstrates positive sensitivity to and involvement in LGBTQ+ issues.

• Catholic University announced that it hired former Tufts player and assistant Jon Sax as its next head coach.

• Women’s lacrosse was announced as the 27^th championship sport recognized by the NAIA.

• Weston Elementary School (N.Y.) principal Aldo Russo is using lessons learned from legendary Bridgewater-Raritan coach Chuck Apel to help his school through the struggles of 2020.
