Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Welcome to the PLL, Grant Ament and Bryan Costabile.

In the lone game Monday night, Ament (Archers LC) and Costabile (Atlas LC) made their first pro meeting count. Ament dropped three goals and an assist to lead Archers to the 11-10 win over Atlas. Costabile had a game-high five points.

As for the highlights, Ament hit Kyle Hartzell with the shake and bake.

Costabile went coast-to-coast and hit top cheddar.

Check out our full recap of the action.

Elsewhere in the PLL, JD Colarusso and Alex Ready are, well, ready whenever they’re needed. Colarusso (Albany) and Ready (Denver), both recent graduates, are serving as emergency goalies for the PLL’s Championship Series.

2. Dom Starsia knows a thing or two about the nuances of coaching lacrosse and leading a program. As he said, coaches become wiser as they get older.

The legendary former Virginia coach offered his 7 Habits of Highly Effective Coaches.

3. Significant news regarding high school lacrosse in 2021.

The Virginia High School League (VHSL) announced today its re-opening plan for athletics, choosing the model supported by US Lacrosse that preserves boys' and girls' lacrosse in the spring of 2021.
