1. Taylor Cummings, one of the best to ever wear the red, white and blue, is calling it a career.

Two weeks after winning a gold medal on home soil, Cummings announced on Instagram that she’s ready for the next chapter of her life. The only three-time Tewaaraton Award winner in history is undecided on her future with Athletes Unlimited, though she is not playing in the second season after capturing the individual championship last summer.

2. Four rookies crack the top 10 of the AU Lacrosse leaderboard after Week 1.

Taylor Moreno, the perennial All-American goalie at North Carolina, tops the list with 581 points. You can catch all the action this summer on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays at USA Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md.

3. Three close games highlighted a successful PLL weekend in Connecticut.

Fairfield drew rave reviews as a first-time PLL stop. The Redwoods opened the weekend with a one-goal win over the Atlas, and the Waterdogs capped it with a one-goal win over the Chrome.
