Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Another season, another year with Chesapeake and Denver flexing their muscles atop Major League Lacrosse. Last year’s league finalists are both 2-0 after picking up wins on Sunday before a national television audience on ESPN2.

2. Perhaps no play made us appreciate the return of lacrosse more than this one from Randy Staats. Staats dealt with a wild check attempt and casually went over his shoulder for a pass to Kyle Jackson, who deposited a goal in the Cannons' win over New York on Saturday. Boston, Chesapeake and Denver were Saturday’s opening day winners.

3. The Premier Lacrosse League released the results of its first round of COVID testing for its Championship Series, which gets underway in Utah on Saturday. Team USA star and Atlas’ defenseman Tucker Durkin was among the players who tested positive.

4. The Premier Lacrosse League is getting ready to start its training camp this week. While most of the players and the league shared pictures of their flights to Utah, Dillon Ward and crew gave us a laugh with their trials by automobile.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

The reaction time for Shayne Jackson on this goal for Philadelphia on Sunday was just … wow.

Who needs an angle? New York’s Andrew Pettit certainly doesn’t.
