Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The MLL 2020 season schedule is out.

The league released its 15-game broadcast schedule, airing entirely on ESPN networks. Three games will run on ESPN2, including the championship game on July 26. Check out the full schedule here.

2. Courtney Pabst fought for her survival and won.

Pabst, the former Pace women’s lacrosse player, lost her right leg as a result of complications stemming from an ACL surgery. She almost lost her life, but now she’s grateful to be able to chase her dream of being a math teacher.

3. The New York Riptide announced two signings to its staff. The team hired Jim Veltman as general manager and Dan Ladouceur as head coach.

Veltman and Ladoucer step in for former coach and general manager Regy Thorpe, who was let go earlier this year.

4. Waterdogs LC has not had much time to build chemistry since forming the PLL’s seventh team this year. However, the roster is bonding together around an underdog mentality.

WHAT WE’RE READING

• Air Force announced the hiring of Jon Thompson as an assistant coach. Thompson joins the Air Force staff after he was fired by Amherst in March following an incident where players directed a racial slur at a fellow teammate.

• The Peach Belt Conference announced it will sponsor men's lacrosse starting in 2021, with the original four members of Alabama-Huntsville, Lander, Montevallo and Shorter. Young Harris and Flagler will join the conference in 2022.

• Looking back at our 2005 magazine cover featuring Towson's Kyle Fiat, one of the first prominent lacrosse players from the West.

• Major League Lacrosse Commissioner Alexander Sandy Brown said the decision to hold the season in Annapolis was made because it was the “easiest possible solution.”

• Boston Cannons coach Sean Quirk and goalie Nick Marrocco partnered to launch a new equipment and apparel company called PeakPro.

• Ryan Jardine (Pa.) and Sally Hooey (N.Y.) were named US Lacrosse Impact Athletes.
