1. Lyle Thompson continues to garner support from the lacrosse community, and beyond, following last weekend's painful incident in Philadelphia. His Georgia Swarm teammates all wore shirts with a braid on the back on Friday night in a show of solidarity.

2. Rutgers has been incredibly close to reaching the NCAA recent the last two seasons, but it still hasn't danced since 2004. Can the Knights break through in 2019?

3. Stanford won the inaugural Pac 12 championship last year and returned to the NCAA tournament, but the Cardinal have eyes on being more than just the best in the West.

4. Nick Myers is known for his preparation. The Ohio State coach is taking that same methodical approach to getting ready for the new rules in college lacrosse.

5. Penn State's women can score? Can the defense step up and get the Nittany Lions back to the elite level?

6. Maryland hosted Marquette for a scrimmage on Saturday, and Marquette head coach Joe Amplo, an assistant coach on the U.S. men's team, awarded Terp assistant coach Jesse Bernhardt his world championship ring.

• Former Virginia star and current George Mason coach Jesse Morgan was among the inductees into the Greater Baltimore Lacrosse Foundation Hall of Fame on Saturday.

• New England Lacrosse Journal looks at the top attackman in the region - coming on the heels of Tewaaraton Awards for Brown's Dylan Molloy in 2016 and Yale's Ben Reeves in 2018.

• Ryan Conwell of Lax All Stars on Regy Thorpe's hiring as GM and coach of the NLL's new franchise in New York.

• The NLL's streaming service through B/R Live suffered a 90-minute outage on Saturday night that also affected games on a free preview of NBA League Pass on the service.
