Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Ellie McNulty made a splash in her debut at Johns Hopkins, scoring four goals to key the Blue Jays to a 17-9 win at Drexel and lead off our Sunday Wrap.

Saturday’s women’s lacrosse action included a number of Nike/US Lacrosse Top 20 teams, highlighted by No. 3 North Carolina’s 18-7 defeat of defending national champion No. 6 James Madison and Kenzie Kent’s return for No. 1 Boston College (Saturday Wrap).

Friday, Denver kicked off the weekend by edging No. 15 Stanford, 8-7, and Arizona State beat Kennesaw State after giving a tutorial on the sport to the Golden State Warriors (Friday Wrap).

2. Given the way the Towson Tigers played Saturday while wearing throwback uniforms, they may prefer to stay in the classics all season. Towson dismantled No. 7 Johns Hopkins, 17-8, behind 21 faceoff wins from Alex Woodall. Two other teams ranked in the Nike/US Lacrosse Top 20 went down, helping to continue a trend started last weekend (Saturday Wrap).

Included in that mix was host No. 6 Loyola besting No. 5 Virginia, 17-9.

3. On the small-college front, No. 16 Limestone got four goals and one assist each from Tyler Papa and Clark Walter to fuel a 19-9 win at No. 3 Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday in a Division II men’s game. Elsewhere, John Hofseth scored four goals and added three assists as No. 6 Seton Hill moved to 2-0 with an 18-4 win over Molloy.

On the women’s side, No. 5 Lindenwood cruised by Maryville, 20-1, Saturday in its season opener. Friday, No. 11 Limestone opened with a 12-4 win at North Greenville.

A light weekend in Division III men’s play was highlighted by No. 7 York’s 7-6 home win over No. 8 Washington and Lee Saturday in the opener for both teams. The Spartans got two goals apiece from Hunter Davis and Brendan McGrath in the win. Taylor Witherell’s second score of the game brought the Generals within 7-6 slightly more than five minutes into the fourth quarter, but they could not get the equalizer.

Meanwhile, hat tricks by Corey Gwin and Cross Ferrara helped No. 2 Salisbury hold off No. 17 Lynchburg, 11-9, in Virginia to improve to 2-0. The Sea Gulls appeared in command, ahead 11-4 after three quarters, but the Hornets rallied behind two goals each from Logan Adams and Kevin Rogers — the latter finishing with four goals and two assists on the day.

4. After winning 25 of 35 faceoffs and chipping a tooth in his debut with the Philadelphia Wings, Trevor Baptiste is adjusting to life in the NLL just fine, thank you.
