Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Ireland Lacrosse was recognized with a Musial Award on Saturday during a virtual award ceremony.

The Musial Awards honored Ireland Lacrosse after it gave its spot in the 2022 World Games to the Iroquois Nationals, who were previously not permitted to participate in the event.

Last week, we shared Jeremy Redmon’s inspiring story of the connection between Ireland and the Native community — one that spans centuries.

Check out the story here.

2. We dropped our Division III Preseason Positional Players of the Year on Wednesday.

3. Victor (N.Y.) boys’ lacrosse coach Jim Andre is stepping down from his role, the team announced over the weekend.

Andre leaves a legacy as a four-time New York state champion (2015-17, 2019). He coached many future NCAA college stars, including Yale faceoff man TD Ierlan.

4. The Boston Cannons aren’t leaving the Quincy area entirely.

Cannons president Ian Frenette told the Milford Daily News that the franchise, although it has moved to the PLL, will retain its headquarters at Memorial Stadium and continue to use the venue for youth programs.
