Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1.  Atlas swept a pair of Premier Lacrosse League games over the weekend to move into first place for the season at 6-2. The final spot for the playoffs will come down to a head-to-head matchup between Chrome and Chaos when the league resumes play in two weeks in Albany, N.Y.

Faceoff star Trevor Baptiste scored three goals in the Atlas victories over the weekend and won 44 of 55 faceoffs.

2. Kayla Wood continued her breakout season in Athletes Unlimited. In Week 1, she was the league’s high point scorer in helping her team to three straight wins. In Week 2, she was a team captain and went undefeated again while maintaining the top spot of the individual leaderboard with 812 points.

Alex Aust, a member of Team Wood, had five points in her league debut on Friday night and finished the weekend with a league-best 424 points.

3. Bobby Van Buren is one of the most highly-rated players in the Class of 2021. But the future Ohio State defenseman didn’t follow the usual path to a top college program. Nelson Rice with his story.
