Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. No. 1 Boston College and No. 2 Maryland are the only undefeated teams remaining in Division I women’s lacrosse.
In a battle of unbeatens, the Terps handled No. 7 Michigan with ease, downing the Wolverines 14-3 with five points from Jen Giles and 10 saves from Megan Taylor.
Meanwhile, the Eagles topped No. 14 Duke 20-12 behind a combined 21 points from Kenzie Kent, Sam Apuzzo and Dempsey Arsenault.

In the Ivy League, No. 16 Princeton rallied for a 14-12 victory over No. 20 Dartmouth thanks to a three-goal run to end the game. Kyla Sears tied it for the Tigers with 7:39 left, Kathryn Hallett with three minutes on the clock pushed them ahead and Tess D’Orsi iced it with 1:02 remaining. In other Ivy highlights, Penn escaped Brown 9-8.
In the Pac-12, Colorado edged No. 12 USC 9-8 to create a tie at the top of league standings. The Buffs were anchored by three goals apiece from Samantha Nemirov and Miranda Stinson.
Avoiding upset bids were the No. 6 Wildcats, after No. 15 Johns Hopkins went up 6-2 early before they won 20-13. Also, No. 4 Notre Dame withstood a late rally by Virginia Tech for a 15-13 win and No. 8 Virginia prevailed 16-13 in a back-and-forth battle at Penn State.
2. Virginia’s hot streak continues in Division I men’s lacrosse, getting a late goal from Dox Aitken to down North Carolina 11-10 and clinch the top seed for the ACC tournament. Also in ACC action, Duke got a much-needed conference win, 14-8 over Notre Dame.
Another Top 20 upset is proving to be a benchmark for Villanova, as the Wildcats held on for a 12-11 victory over Denver for the Pioneers’ first regular season Big East loss.
Then one-goal wins continued as Hofstra topped No. 17 UMass 10-9 in overtime.
In the Maryland-Michigan battle on the men’s side, Jared Bernhardt and Logan Wisnauskas’ combined 16 points led the Terps past the Wolverines 16-12.
Meanwhile, in the Patriot League, Chris Gray and Jake Cates tallied six points each to push Boston University past No. 15 Army 15-13.
In other men’s lacrosse news, Penn State defeated Ohio State 13-8 with eight points from Grant Ament, who is still shining despite having ankle surgery a few weeks ago, according to Ty Xanders.
Per a knowledgeable source, @PennStateMLAX’s Grant Ament underwent high ankle tightrope surgery days before the Nittany Lions’ game against CSU that he missed. Ament was expected to be out until mid to late April, which puts his toughness in perspective.

3. In Week 17 NLL action,Toronto tops Buffalo 12-11, Georgia swarms past San Diego 17-10, Calgary cruises past Philadelphia 18-13, New England defeated San Diego 17-14, Rochester eked past Toronto 12-10 and Saskatchewan escaped Colorado 9-7. Stay tuned for more NLL notes later today.
