Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Jared Bernhardt’s 100th career goal gave Maryland a 10-9 win over Ohio State in overtime to highlight Saturday's college men's lacrosse action. Down two goals in the fourth quarter, the Buckeyes scored three straight goals to take a lead before Maryland’s Logan Wisnauskus tied it with just 23 seconds left in regulation to set up Bernhardt’s game-winner.

2. Northwestern completed a 2-0 week against Top 10 foes by downing Notre Dame 15-11 on Saturday night. Selena Lasota scored five goals as Northwestern’s 15 goals were the most Notre Dame has allowed this season.

3. Among the NCAA women’s lacrosse tournaments to start this weekend are the ACC and Pac-12. More than just the champions, they’re both critically important for teams on the bubble, most notably Duke and Virginia Tech.

Virginia Tech was one of the last four teams in last week’s bracketology, but after losing a three-goal second-half lead againt Virginia, the Hokies now need to beat North Carolina in the first round and win an ACC semifinal game to remain eligible for the tournament with at least a .500 record.

Duke has lost five straight ACC games, and despite tight one-goal losses against teams such as Northwestern, Syracuse and Penn, is in desperate need of a quality win. They’ll get a crack against Notre Dame in the first round.

Out West, USC has the strongest RPI and will be the No. 1 seed for the Pac-12 tournament while Colorado and Stanford, likely semifinal opponents, are both in the hunt for at-large bids and have a resume-building opportunity in front of them.

4. The lacrosse recruiting calendar will stay the same after the sport was removed from a proposal that the NCAA Division I Council voted on last week. “It’s a huge win for our sport,” said Penn men’s lacrosse coch Mike Murphy.

5. Michael Sowers tied Kevin Lowe atop the all-time scoring list at Princeton during the Tigers 19-15 win over Harvard. Just a junior, Sowers, a former U.S. U19 player, now has 247 career points following his 10-point effort against the Crimson.

6. Towson goalie Tyler Canto showing just how tough lacrosse players can be. US Lacrosse Magazine photographer Kevin P. Tucker illustrating Canto's thigh taking the brunt of this save during the Tigers' 14-12 win over Delaware.
